GoodLife Secures Canada's 50 Best Managed Company Award
GoodLife Fitness has triumphed once again, requalifying for Canada's 50 Best Managed
Companies status for the 5th consecutive year. This prestigious national award is
sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post, and Queen's School
of Business.
"This year's winners leveraged their entrepreneurial passion to drive their revenue,
profits and value in the face of triple-digit oil prices, a strong Canadian dollar,
and mixed economic signals south of the border," commented John Hughes, Deloitte
partner and national leader of the Best Managed program. Hughes went on to say,
"They continue to make the list because they remain focused on their core vision,
create stakeholder value and continue to excel. The program has become the Hall
of Fame for Canada's best companies".
David Patchell-Evans commented, "I am honoured by this recognition and share it
with our GoodLife members, our 6,000 staff and a profession that enables us every
day to do what we love the most…helping Canadians be healthier and happier in their
day to day lives."
GoodLife will be honoured at the Best Managed 15th annual, invitation-only Symposium
and Gala on February 25, 2008 in Toronto. GoodLife is Canada's largest fitness company
with over 400,000 members and 150 clubs stretching from Newfoundland to British
Columbia.
