GoodLife Fitness® (“GoodLife”)

“Core Season Summer Contest” (the “Promotion”)



Participation in the Promotion constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance by each Participant of the Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the Promotion.

The Promotion is available to residents of Canada, other than residents of Quebec who have attained the age of majority in their province of residence and who are not current members of GoodLife Fitness. The Grand Prize may be redeemed at a GoodLife Fitness Club locations throughout Canada (collectively, the "Participating Club(s)"), except in Quebec that offers personal training.


The Promotion begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight time (EDT) on May 4, 2017 (the “Promotion Start Date”), and ends at 11:59 p.m. (EDT), on October 10, 2017 (the “Promotion End Date”) (collectively, the "Promotion Period").


  1. PRIZES:


There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of the following:

  • Two (2) 1-year All Club memberships to GoodLife Fitness;
  • Two (2) Personal Training Starter Packages for the winning Participant and a friend, each Starter Package consisting of one (1) LifeChanger session and six (6) one hour Personal Training Sessions; and
  • One (1) trip for two (2) to a GoodLife Fitness sponsored fitness event (“Event”) of the winning Participant’s choice (examples of eligible events include, but are not limited to, City Chase, Victoria Marathon, Toronto Marathon, Blue Nose Marathon), consisting of round-trip economy airfare for two (2); two (2) nights’ accommodation and $500.00 spending money.

Approximate total retail value of the Grand Prize $6,000.00* (*Grand Prize value reflects retail value, actual cost to GoodLife may be less)

Winning Participant must choose the person to receive the second membership and the second Personal Training Starter Package. Winning Participant his or her friend will be required to enter into the standard written GoodLife Membership Agreement and Personal Training Programs Agreement, as presented (the “Agreements”) (details available at any Participating Club). Any winning Participant's right and their friend’s right to receive the above-noted Grand Prize is subject to all parties signing the applicable Agreements as presented.

The Grand Prize, must be accepted by a winning Participant as awarded, is not assignable, and cannot be exchanged or substituted or combined with any other offer. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or credit in part or whole.


Additional Conditions:


Winning Participant must provide a travel date and Event to GoodLife no later than December 31, 2017. No changes permitted to reservations once date of travel is confirmed. The winning Participant and his/her guest must travel together on the same itinerary. Winning Participant and his/her guest must travel by June 30, 2018.


The Grand Prize may not be used towards any mileage accumulation program, or any frequent flyer program. Air and hotel are subject to availability. The winning Participant and his/her guest are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, all air departure taxes, in-flight meals, beverages, headsets, in-flight entertainment, optional seat selection, additional checked-in luggage surcharge, ground transportation, gratuities, optional excursions, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, additional meals, beverages, together with any applicable overnight layover. Flight dates and hotel accommodation are subject to change without notice or compensation. Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion(s) are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the departure point chosen by GoodLife as the Grand Prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the winning Participant and his/her guest to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports.


  1. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: No Purchase Necessary: There is no purchase necessary to participate. These Rules are available at any Participating Club or on-line at

To enter, an individual must complete the online form (an “Entry”) with a Promotions and Special Events Representative. A random draw will be held on October 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The first Participant whose Entry is chosen will be eligible to win the Grand Prize. Entries must be received by no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 10, 2017 to participate in the Prize Draw. Entry form must be completed in full in order to be accepted and entered for the Prize Draw.


Each person submitting an Entry is referred to in these Rules as a "Participant". Limit of one (1) Entry per Participant.



The chances of winning the Grand Prize depends on the total number of entries submitted during the Promotion Period.





  • A random draw will be held at 9:00 a.m. EDT on October 13, 2017. The first Participant whose Entry is drawn from the validly completed Entries received will be eligible to win the Prize.


  • GoodLife will attempt to contact a participant whose Entry is drawn by phone number, or address or e-mail address that GoodLife has on file for the Participant between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (EDT), for a period of two (2) days after the determination/draw date or any further redetermination has occurred, if necessary. If all conditions to receive the Grand Prize are not completely satisfied within the time frame specified above, GoodLife may conduct a further random draw to determine a further potential Grand Prize winner until the available Grand Prize has been awarded. The determination process will continue until the Prize has been awarded, or October 27, 2017, whichever is sooner. The Participant whose name is drawn for the Grand Prize must (i) on request review and complete a liability/publicity release and satisfy all applicable Rules to be eligible to receive the Grand Prize; and (ii) correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.



  1. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open to all legal residents of Canada, other than residents of Quebec, who are of the age of majority in their respective Province or Territory of residence and are not members of GoodLife Fitness. The Promotion is NOT open to employees, representatives or agents of GoodLife, its subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, advertising and Promotion agents, and members of their respective families and persons with whom they are domiciled.


  1. GENERAL RULES: GoodLife reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion without liability and without prior notice if any factor interferes with its operation as contemplated by these Rules, including but not limited to any fraud, virus or other technical problem which corrupts the administration, security, or proper operation of the Promotion. GoodLife is not responsible for theft, defects, and human errors including negligence, which may result in the failure of GoodLife to award the Grand Prize. By participating in the Promotion, Participants: (a) agree to comply with and be bound by these Rules and the decisions of GoodLife, which shall be binding and final in all respects; (b) release GoodLife from all liability, loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the Promotion, participation in any Promotion-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom, or in connection with the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the Grand Prize; (c) grant to GoodLife the unrestricted right, in GoodLife’s sole discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the winning Participant’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Promotion and the promotion and exploitation thereof; (d) grant to GoodLife the right to use his/her name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Promotion, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winner and agree to be contacted by GoodLife by mail, telephone and/or email; (e) grant to GoodLife the right to use his/her Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Promotion, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; (f) acknowledges that GoodLife may disclose his/her Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of GoodLife in connection with any of the activities listed in (d) and (e) above; and (g) acknowledges that GoodLife makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Grand Prize, and disclaims all liability for the provision, quality or nature of any third-party products or services provided to the Grand Prize winner.

GoodLife reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Participant found to be: (a) violating the Promotion Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion; and/or (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE PROMOTION WEBSITE OR ANY RELATED WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, GOODLIFE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.


GoodLife assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release, or for any computer, online, software, telephone, hardware or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an Entry. GoodLife is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion. GoodLife assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. GoodLife is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. GoodLife is not responsible for any injury or damage to Participants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Promotion. Participant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Promotion, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive a Prize. GoodLife assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Promotion cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of GoodLife, such as infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion.


The Promotion is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein, including but not limited to taxes, (other than GST or HST and PST where applicable which are included in the Grand Prize), are the sole responsibility of winners. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by GoodLife, who reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any Prize with another prize of greater or equal value in the event that any Prize is unavailable or cannot otherwise be awarded as described. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or a Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Promotion, but in no event legal fees or disbursements. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Participant and GoodLife in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Should any provision of these Rules be deemed unenforceable or invalid, the other provisions of these Rules shall remain in full force and effect. GoodLife’s failure to enforce any provision of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.


Each potential winning Participant will be required to sign GoodLife’s form of declaration of compliance and release which confirms compliance with the rules and releases GoodLife and its prize providers from all liability with respect to the Participant’s participation in this Promotion and the awarding, use and misuse of a Prize. The executed declaration of compliance and release must be returned within two (2) business days of the verification as a Winner or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.

All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by GoodLife and/or its respective affiliates as applicable. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
